New Utah State Record Elk - 418 3/8 Gross Non-typical

December 2002 a monster bull elk was killed in the area of Spanish Fork.  The bull was killed by Jeff Dedrickson who was the lucky $5 draw for the Utah Sportsman's Tag.  He was guided by Doyle Moss of Mossback Productions along with many others who helped.  The elk scores 415 Gross and 409 Net Non-typical.  The elk also scores 197 Net Typical.  These scores are a green score, but the non-typical score will easily make it Utah's first 400 net bull and state record after the 60-day drying period.

(Updated 02/19/02) This elk has now been official scored by B&C. The official score is better than originally thought - 418 3/8 gross and 412 net non-typical B&C!
