Monster 18 Point Elk Shot in Texas |

This elk was shot during Thanksgiving week in the Panhandle of Texas 2002. It has 18 points and weight was just over 900 lbs. This is a Texas record. Also, there is no elk in Texas, so if you see one you can shoot it. The fires in New Mexico has driven several elk into the Texas area. Note: This is the information that we received. We have not confirmed anything on this bull yet. Is it too good to be true and really from Texas? We count 19 points and that right side is looking seriously freak with all of the tines from the brow to the royal point. We think it has been doctored and points have been added to the photo. |
