For the Backpackers and Hard Core Hunters |
| When you can't
bring everything and the kitchen sink, you need to keep it simple and light, yet having
the necessities is critical. Go through the list above and pick out just the few
things you feel are important. Remember, the less you bring the lighter the pack.
However, be prepared for emergencies and bad weather. |
Quick Run Down |
- Do you have a valid hunter education card if needed?
- Do you have the right hunting permit?
- Has your truck just been serviced?
- Do you have tire chains in your truck?
- Do you have jumper cables and a come-a-long?
- Do you have extra motor oil and anti-freeze?
- Are you in as good as shape as your truck?
- Does your emergency kit have all the things you need?
- Are you taking prescription drugs and taking them with you?
- Do you have all of your proper clothing? (blaze orange,
camo, etc.)
- Have you sighted in your rifle this year?
- Have you obtained permission to hunt if your going on on
private ground?
- Do you have all of the maps that you might need?
- Does your family know exactly where you are going?

memories for a lifetime?
